Achit Kumar in judicial custody, drugs were supplied to Aryan Khan
Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and his friend Arbaaz Merchant are in Arthur Road Jail. Both of them had named the hemp supplier Achit Kumar, who was arrested by the NCB on 6 October. Achit Kumar has been kept in judicial custody till 23 October.After three days of continuous interrogation, the agency had sought judicial custody, which they also got. According to NCB, Achit Kumar supplied ganja or weed to Aryan and Arbaaz. The agency has recovered 2.6 grams of ganja which is green in colour.
Achit Kumar was produced before the court on 7 October, where he was asked to remain in the custody of the NCB till 9 October. Apart from this, there was talk of confronting him with Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant, but on that day the magistrate refused to give the custody of Aryan and Arbaaz to the NCB.Said that both of them will remain in judicial custody. Investigating Officer VV Singh was present in the court. Advocate Pranav was on their behalf. He told the court that NCB also wanted the custody of Aryan and Arbaaz, but the court refused to give them.
On behalf of the NCB statement, Pranav said, “The accused has confessed that he was involved in supplying ganja. He has a whole network of which he was a part. There are also several main suspects, whose name, address and work also he has done. He is also dealing in ganja in Mumbai. He is yet to be caught.”The remand paper read, “Investigation in this case is still at an early stage. The people mentioned by Kumar are yet to be verified. Name and address will be verified now, only then any action will be taken.” ”
Meanwhile, advocate Ashwini Thul, appearing for Achit Kumar, showed the CCTV footage. On 7 October, he told the court, “The agency picked up Achit Kumar from his Powai house in the evening on 5 October. This is an illegal detention case, as Kumar got the warrant of arrest on 6 October.””After this, he was produced in the court on 7 October. This affidavit has been filed by Kumar’s father. Thul had filed a bail application for Achit Kumar on October 7 before appearing in the magistrate’s court, but on Friday, the court rejected the bail application of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and accused Munmun, after which Thul later that day did not file any bail application for Achit.
