Amitabh bachchan left pan masala brand ad, also returned full fee, today is also his birthday

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan was trolled a lot on social media some time ago for doing a pan masala ad and he was targeted a lot for doing this ad. The actor did not give much reaction to this, but now Amitabh Bachchan has taken action in this matter. He has withdrawn his name from this ad. Explaining the reason for this, the actor has said that he is doing this so that it does not motivate the new generation to consume pan masala. He has also returned the fees received for this advertisement.

Amitabh Bachchan had edited Kamala’s choice, after which many people objected to it. People believed that being the senior most personality of the country, Amitabh Bachchan should not do such advertisements. The National Anti-Tobacco Organization had also requested Amitabh Bachchan to withdraw his name from this ad.

Apart from this, some fans of Amitabh Bachchan were also angry in the matter and they did not like this move of the superstar. Now the official statement has been issued by Amitabh. Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan was also questioned by a fan for adding pan masala. In response to this, Amitabh had said that- ‘If an organization is benefiting from this, then we should not think like this why we are doing this. Just as our industry runs, so does their industry. You feel that I should not do this but I have got a fee for it.’

If the statement is to be believed- Kamala Pasand, a few days after the commercial went on air, Amitabh Bachchan signed a contract with the brand which he has terminated last week. This has been done because when Mr. Bachchan decided to join this ad, he was not aware that such advertisements fall under the category of surrogate advertising. Later, Amitabh Bachchan withdrew his name from this ad and also returned the fees he had taken for the promotion of this braid.
