Covid treatment pill: Pfizer says it will give manufacturing permits to other companies.

Geneva: American pharmaceutical company Pfizer has given permission to other companies to manufacture their Covid antiviral pill. With this, it has become possible for the poorest countries in the world to get this drug at cheaper rates.
Pfizer has announced that it will be lending to other companies in 95 poorer developing countries to qualify for the Covid vaccine, called Pacloslovid. This will make Paxilovid available to 53% of the world’s population at a reduced rate.

Pfizer is also currently the manufacturer of the most widely used Covid wax in the world. Pfizer does not buy royalties from companies that make this vaccine. This allows the vaccine to reach people at a lower cost than the Pfizer vaccine.

Pfizer has signed a patent pool of medicine for the manufacture of the Kovid pill. The drug will be licensed worldwide only after clinical trials and other approvals.

Pfizer’s pill should be taken with RitonavirL, a drug used to treat HIV. Current trials have shown that this drug is 89 percent effective in treating Kovid.
