Fuel Price: Fuel prices to fall in Jammu and Kashmir too, Petrol will be reduced by Rs 12 and diesel by Rs 17

In Bihar, VAT has been reduced by Rs 1.30 per liter for petrol and Rs 1.90 per liter for diesel. The Center has been forced to reduce taxes, albeit slightly, in view of the by-election results and the intensification of opposition protests by raising tax terror.

The reduction announced by the state government will take effect from Thursday. The central government has reduced excise duty on petrol by Rs 5 per liter and diesel by Rs 10 per liter. The move comes amid widespread protests against the central government over rising fuel prices. The consolation announcement came on the eve of Diwali.
