Gold-Silver Update: Gold became costlier this week, but silver continues to decline

There has been an increase in the price of gold this week. According to the website of jewelery organization Indian Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), gold has become costlier by Rs 290 to Rs 47,329 per 10 grams this week. Earlier this week it was at Rs 47,039.

The price of silver has declined this week. It was Rs 63,047 at the beginning of the week, which has now come down to Rs 62,233 per kg. That is, it has become cheaper by Rs 814 this week.

So far in August, gold became cheaper by more than Rs 700 and silver by Rs 5,500.
On August 1, gold was at Rs 48,105, which has now come down to Rs 47,329 per 10 grams. That is, gold has become cheaper by Rs 776 so far in this month. On the other hand, when it comes to silver, it has become cheaper by Rs 5,703 and has come down to Rs 62,233 per kg.

Gold has also become cheaper in the international market this week. At the beginning of the week, it was at US $ 1,788 an ounce, which has now come down to $ 1,782.

Ajay Kedia, director of Kedia Commodity, says that gold may become more expensive in the coming days due to the third wave of Corona. By the end of this year, it can go up to Rs 50,000.
