Nag Panchami 2021: Do not do this work on the day of Nagpanchami
The festival of Nagpanchami is being celebrated on 13th August i.e. today. In Hinduism, snakes have been worshiped as deities since mythological times. Snake worship has a special significance on the day of Nagpanchami. Snakes are considered to be the ornament of Lord Shiva. Worshiping them on the day of Nagpanchami in Sawan gives special benefits. However, it is forbidden to do some special work on this day.
It is considered very inauspicious to dig the land or plow in the field on the day of Nag Panchami. Therefore, doing so should be strictly avoided. Snakes are considered to be the lords of Hades. It is believed that snakes live in the land and protect the fields. Therefore it is forbidden to dig the land on this day.
One should never worship a living snake on the day of Nagpanchami. Instead, the idol of Nag Devta should be worshiped with full devotion. The image of Nagdev, an idol made of clay or metal can also be worshipped.
On the day of Nagpanchami, tawa and iron pan should not be placed on the fire. It is believed that doing so causes pain to the snake deity. Apart from this, the use of sharp and sharp objects should be avoided on this day. Mainly needle-thread should not be used. It is considered inauspicious to do so.
Meat and alcohol should also be strictly avoided on the day of Nagpanchami. Chanting the mantras of Lord Shiva on this day gives benefits. On the day of Nagpanchami, keep in mind that milk should be offered to Shivling or Nag Dev with a brass pot. Whereas for offering water, use a copper vessel.
Those who have heavy Rahu-Ketu in their horoscope, they should especially worship the snake deity on the day of Nagpanchami. By doing this, the problems coming in the horoscope are easily removed.
Those who are suffering from Kaal Sarp Dosha get special benefits on the day of Nagpanchami. Due to the presence of Kaal Sarp Dosh in the horoscope, many problems have to be faced from family life to business, job sector. The day of Nagpanchami is considered to be the best for the prevention of Kaal Sarp Dosh.
It is believed that on the day of Nagpanchami, bathing snakes with milk and worshiping them gives Akshay-virtue. It is considered auspicious to give donations and dakshina to snake charmers on this day. There is also a tradition of making a snake picture at the entrance in many houses. It is believed that by the grace of Nagdev, that house is always safe.
